Nigerians on social media have expressed their displeasure over moves to set up a GoFundMe account to help raise funds for the legal fees of troubled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha who has been accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl.

The development came to light after friends of Baba Ijesha came together to crowdfund the expenses of his legal fees through a GoFundMe account with a target of €50,000 (over N20 million) which was opened on behalf.

Titled ‘Help Olanrewaju Omiyinka with Legal Costs’; the crowdfunding project has been met with dissent from scores of Nigerians on social media and also fans of Nollywood who want the actor to stew in his own juice.
