One of the contestants of the ongoing American Idol reality TV show, Nigeria’s Funke Lagoke has reacted after she collapsed on the stage of the musical contest and needed stitches afterwards.
The music wannabe who took to her official social media account to react to the incident said that “we (as individuals) are all so much more than our fall”.
During the show, Funke fell flat with her chin splitting open while receiving feedback from Lionel Richie after her performance on Monday night, March 22.
The American Idol contestant had performed a duet with fellow singer Ronda Felton on Monday night’s episode and as Lionel Richie started to critique her performance, Funke’s hands were seen shaking and her eyes seemed to lose focus.
She later fell on the stage and landed with an alarming thud. Funke was rushed to the hospital where she was treated for dehydration and released from the hospital.
While reacting to the incident, Funke said; “We are all so much more than our fall.
She added the hashtag, “I am more than my fall.”
