Okada rider, passenger feared killed in ghastly Ondo auto crash

Tragedy struck along the High Court Road in Akure, the Ondo State capital when no fewer than two victims were feared killed following a crash involving a commercial motorcycle also known as okada and a faulty truck.

Reports say moments after the accident some angry youths which witnessed the okada man and his passenger rammed into the truck parked beside the road decided to burn the stationery truck in protest.

It was gathered that the government officials and security operatives quickly moved to the scene to prevent the protest from degenerating.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Security Matters, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo, who confirmed the incident, said those who burnt the truck would be exposed.

Also the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro confirmed the incident and said investigation into the matter had begun.
