Reno Omokri, the former media aide of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has a word of advice for celebrities who go broke at old age and accuse their fans of abandoning them.

The Buhari critic who took to his Twitter page to lend counsel said that Nigerian celebrities should endeavour to plan for their future as they may not get sympathy if they go broke in their old age.

The author and political activist made the post on social media in reaction to the trending topic on veteran celebrities entering into depression in their old age which was triggered by actress Foluke Daramola.

Omokri wrote thus on Twitter; “If you are an actor, singer, or other celebrity, invest the money you make now for your future. Don’t use it to go broke trying to look rich. Because, there’s little sympathy for celebrities who go broke in old age and accuse fans of abandoning them.”
