Oprah Winfrey announces new docu-series with Prince Harry on mental health

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has announced a new documentary series with Prince Harry based on mental health issues which will finally be released this month after being delayed.

Oprah revealed the news as she discussed her program while talking on CBS’ The Drew Barrymore Show last week.

Appearing on the talk show alongside US psychiatrist Dr Bruce D. Perry, Oprah explained: “I wanna just say that Dr Perry and I have been also, for the past two years, along with Prince Harry and Apple, we’ve been working on this mental health series that’s coming out in May on Apple.”

She further explained that she wanted to highlight the importance of using her life “in order to help” others with theirs.

Reports say Oprah and Prince Harry have worked with each other over a number of years on this project.

This came weeks after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle both announced they are set to unveil the first show from their multimillion dollar deal with global streaming platform Netflix- a docuseries that will follow athletes set to compete in the upcoming Invictus games in 2022.

Titled ‘Heart of Invictus’ the documentary titled will follow the sporting event slated for 2022 in The Hague, Netherlands, and will also cover the run-up to the event and behind-the-scenes stories.

Produced by the couple’s Archewell Productions, the new documentary according to Netflix will follow up on a group of extraordinary competitors from around the globe.
