Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, a member of reunited music group, P Square (who now prefers to be called Mr P) has taken to his official social media account to speak up against tribal animosity stemming from the general elections.

In a post on his Twitter page, Mr P made reference to the seemingly frosty relationship between the Igbos and Yorubas stating that there should be no animosity between both tribes.

Mr P who claimed that politicians use tribal squabbles to cover up for their questionable behaviour supported his claim against tribal animosity by mentioning the fact that he is married to a Yoruba woman named Omolola.

“I am an Igbo man married to a Yoruba woman! Igbos do not hate Yorubas. Neither do Yorubas hate Igbos. Politicians are using tribes as an excuse to cover their evil. They don’t like you, whether Igbo or Yoruba. They only care about their pockets. Be wiser.” He wrote on Twitter.
