Popular Kannywood actress Hajiya Zainab Musa Booth has passed on to the great beyond at the age of 61 in the ancient city of Kano after a brief illness.
The death of the thespian was confirmed in a post on Instagram by her daughter, Maryam who also stated that her mother will be buried after janaza (funeral prayers) at her Court Road residence at 8am today, July 2.
Reports say Zainab, who was the mother of three actors Maryam, Ramadan, and Amude Booth, reportedly died last night in Kano, She was 61.

Her death was also confirmed by actor Ali Nuhu on his Instagram page, and he also informed that the deceased will be buried on Friday in Kano.
“With the deepest heart, I announced the demised of Hajiya Zainab Booth. The Jana’iza prayers will hold on Friday at her residence, opposite Premiere Hospital in the morning,” Ali Nuhu wrote.
