Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex will return home to attend the funeral of Prince Philip (his grandfather), the Duke of Edinburgh but his pregnant wife Meghan Markle will not attend the interment.
This was confirmed in a statement on the social media page of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle which revealed that Prince Harry will be attending his grandfather’s burial alone because pregnant Megan did not receive clearance from her doctor.
The statement added that Meghan is not permitted to fly because she is heavily pregnant with their second child.
Harry will fly from California to the UK and is expected to follow the protocols for travelling from the United States to the UK which includes quarantine and two COVID-19 test results.
Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II’s and the longest serving consort joined his ancestors on April 9, 2020.
The death of the 99-year-old was announced on Friday by Buckingham palace which revealed that Prince Philip passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.
