Queen Elizabeth has finally responded to the many allegations raised in the two-hour tell-all interview that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle (the Duke and Duchess of Sussex) granted to Oprah Winfrey.
The Buckingham Palace in a statement released on behalf of the Queen revealed that the entire Royal family is concerned about what the couple has had to pass through in the past few years.
The statement reads; “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members,” the statement added.
The queen’s comments were her first since that interview, when Harry and Meghan Markle also revealed a lack of support by the royal family for the duchess’s mental health issues when she sought help as well as protecting her from the severe media intrusion.
