Fast rising Nigerian alternative R&B singer, songwriter and producer, Temilade Openiyi, has boosted her rising profile with the release of her latest EP (Extended Play) titled, ‘FOR BROKEN EARS’.
Touted as one of the brightest young acts on the music scene, Tems serves eager listeners and critics with six tracks on this EP, with each of the songs speaking about being free from life’s different challenges and obstacles.
It is also interesting to note that Tems produced four tracks on the EP which bares her soul and shows her vulnerability and imperfections as a person first, before fine-tuning it all into a musical journey.
The reflection of both internal and external fears, frustrations, and challenges a person faces on the journey to being a true version of themselves, as delivered on the collection places Tems on a pedestal that many of her peers can only imagine.
According to her, she made the EP for the purpose of healing because a lot of minds have been broken due to what people have heard over time adding that she hope the collection offers an avenue for true cleansing.
