The Ebonyi State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a policeman on Tuesday after some heavily-armed men stormed a community in Ebonyi State, shooting intermittently and robbing business outfits.
The incident was confirmed on Tuesday by the Commissioner for Internal Security, Stanley Emegha who said that the policeman was killed during the attack by the gunmen who are now at large.
According to a report by the Nation newspaper, the hoodlums numbering five arrived in Onueke in Ezza South local government area with AK47s, pump action and other weapons.
A policeman was gunned down in the attack, while another person was shot but it was unclear if the second person died or survived the attack.
