The Lagos State Police Command has declared that it has not received the bail notice of troubled Yoruba actor Olanrewaju James Omiyinka aka Baba Ijesha who was arrested for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old minor.

Recall that Baba Ijesha’s lawyer Ademola Ogunlana said that his client’s bail was granted ”essentially on health grounds” and that the Magistrate said the offense is bailable.

“The conditions of bail are that Baba Ijesha must have two sureties. One of the sureties must be a level 10 officer, a civil servant. The other one should be a blood relation of the thespian.

“The bail is put at N500, 000 in large sum. It’s not security. It is just a bond that if he should run away, the sureties will pay that. We are very sure he will not run away. The verification is to be done by the OC Legal of the SCID Panti.”

However, the spokesperson to the police in Lagos, Muyiwa Adejobi during an interview with newsmen said that he is unaware of the development as the command did not receive such notice.

He said; “We just saw reports that he has been granted bail. Well, I am not aware of the bail and the command has not received any notice based on the issue.

“I am not aware and it is not in my knowledge,” he said.
