Wizkid’s manager reacts to song theft saga involving singer Wisekid

Wizkid‘s manager, Jada Pollock who is also a babymama of the ‘Joro’ crooner has reacted to the song theft situation involving singer Wizkid and another Nigerian singer Wisekid.

Jada who was forced to react on social media after fans of the singer accused her of being insensitive to relevant issues and going about with her daily routine post amid the trending saga.

After several backlashes, Jada Pollock reacted in a post on Twitter she made on 7 April, Wednesday afternoon stating that RCA have been actively working on taking down the illegal uploads across all digital platforms.

She wrote; “RCA have been actively working on taking down the illegal uploads across all digital platforms since yesterday morning. Relating to the fraudulent “Wisekid” account. Thank you Wizkid FC for your dedication and patience. It does not go unnoticed”.

According to a report by Africa Facts, Wisekid has been raking in the sum of N30 Million naira monthly as unsuspecting fans of Wizkid have been streaming his album “Lasgidi Made” with a replica tracklist off Wizkid’s album thereby hoodwinking unsuspecting music lovers.

Reports say the Wizkid impostor has been playing a fast one on many fans on Apple music by uploading a replica of Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ album, leading to a diversion of some traffic to himself.

Wisekid has been raking in N30 Million naira monthly off the album which has gone on to amass a total of 9.3 million streams since October 2020 that he uploaded the replicated ‘Lasgidi Made’.

He also cloned and uploaded Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ album on shazam and tidal, leading to the young man making a fortune from it but despite that Wizkid’s Made In Lagos album has surpassed 400 million streams across only five platforms in five months.
