Sultry Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri is fuming over moves to free alleged rapist, Baba Ijesha after he was arrested and detained for purportedly defiling a 14-year-old girl since she was 7 years of age.

Recall that a senior officer while giving an update on the case said that the Lagos State Police Command has confirmed to PUNCH Metro that a directive has been issued to release him from police custody within the next 24 hours.

According to the report the move to free him is due to the ongoing strike by members of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria, which has made it impossible for the courts to sit, and the suspect could not be detained indefinitely without trial.

Reacting to the development in a post shared via her Instagram page on Thursday, April 29, 2021, the actress said in Nigeria, children have no rights, no laws are guiding them.

The thespian further called on parents to be guarded and keep their young ones very safe.

“In Nigeria, children have no rights, there are no laws guiding them. This is no place to raise your kids. Even the people in power, some of them are pedophiles. Keep your young ones safe. Be guarded,” she wrote.
