ALLEGED RAPE: Benjamin Mendy pleads not guilty to eighth counts of rape

Troubled Manchester City FC and France international defender Benjamin Mendy has pleaded not guilty to an eighth count of rape ahead of his ongoing trial.

The 28-year-old French international footballer denied the eight count of rape when he appeared before the Chester Crown Court on Wednesday morning, August 10.

Mendy who is also charged with one count of s3xual assault and one count of attempted rape with all the offenses relate to seven women has already denied the seven counts of rape.

Recall that the soccer star who has been accused of a series of serious offences against young women, was freed after a bail hearing at Chester Crown Court in January.

Late last year, the footballer was moved to a notorious maximum-security jail ‘for his own protection’ as he awaits trial for rape allegations.

Reports say Mendy was switched to the notorious HMP Prison Manchester, commonly referred to as Strangeways, on December 23, 2021.
