Sensational Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has explained why she wants to be regarded as one of the leaders of the Afrobeats genre.
The ‘Rush’ crooner, who opened up in a recent interview with the Cosmopolitan UK, said that she has the desire to see that the popular music genre becomes one of the biggest in the world.

She said, “My hope for Afrobeats is for it to be the biggest genre in the world. Because it deserves to be.
“Other genres of music are great, but there’s nothing like Afrobeat. Even the sad music makes you feel good. So, I want Afrobeats to be the biggest genre in the world, and I would love to be one of the leading artists.”
