Nollywood actor Funsho Adeolu has berated the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) for threatening to blacklist actresses Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing after it (TAMPAN) accused the thespians of trading invectives over the Baba Ijesha rape saga.

Recall that the Board of Trustees of TAMPAN and Elders of the Nigerian Motion Picture Industry issued a statement on Saturday where it lashed out at Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing over its perceived reckless accusations, abuses and embarrassment of the movie sector by the aforementioned actresses.

TAMPAN in the statement said that the Yoruba movie sector has been dealt with malicious damages being done to by some unruly individuals that lack any iota of discipline and seeming to feel to be above the law over the alleged rape allegations levelled against Baba Ijesha.

While reacting to the move by TAMPAN, Funsho Adeolu in a post on Instagram said that God is watching the TAMPAN BoT members for threatening to work against the female actresses.

Sharing a photo of himself in a face mask on Instagram, he said that his face is covered not because of COVID-19 but in shame over those who call themselves leaders of local association but don’t have interest of their members.

He wrote; “My face is covered, not because of Covid-19 but in shame on behalf of those who call themselves leaders of local association and do not have the interest of members at heart. God is watching.”
