A businessman identified as Aminu Shittu has been sentenced to nine months imprisonment by A Grade I Area Court in Mpape, Abuja, for receiving a stolen generator belonging to one M.M Augustine.
The court presided over by Salihu Ibrahim, also gave Shittu who pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property an option to pay a fine of N20, 000 in lieu of his nine month prison term served him.
Reports say the 11.5 KVA generator valued at N400, 000 was sold to Shittu by two suspects identified as Mohammed Malik and Ismaila Yakubu broke into M.M Augustine’s shop located at katampe junction, Mpape, on December 25, 2020.
