Troubled Ghanaian actress Rosemond Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo has been granted bail by an Accra High Court after she was found guilty of indecent exposure in front of her under aged son.

The court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey granted the convicted actress, Akuapem Poloo, ¢80,000 bail on Wednesday, April 21, with two sureties to be justified.

As part of her bail condition, Poloo has to report to the case investigator every two weeks and was also ordered to deposit her passport with the registrar of the court.

Justice Ruby Aryeetey ruled that she will only travel with the express permission of the court while adding that the applicant has satisfied the four grounds of bail pending appeal.

Poloo’s lawyer had filed a motion to appeal the 90-day jail sentence. He also filed a motion for bail pending appeal.

The development came after Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh launched a campaign for the release of Ghanaian actress.

In her plea, Tonto said that Akuapem who was sentenced last week for posing naked in front of her 7-year-old son, to wish him a happy birthday did wrong but said she should be given a lighter sentence.
