The long arm of the law has caught up with four suspected thieves who robbed a Catholic priest, Reverend Father Wence Isidiem and members of his church at gunpoint in the Nekede area of Imo State.
The suspects identified as Justice Anukam, 18; Chidiebube Emezi, 21; Sandy Chisom, 24; and Chidiuto Onwusiribe, 21, were arrested on February 23, operatives of the divisional police headquarters, Nekede/Ihiagwa, after a sting operation in the area, spokesperson for the State Police Command, Orlando Ikeokwu said on Thursday.
According to him, the suspects also robbed some of the members, including Ogechi Igwe, Chibuzor Anukam, Kizzito Uwalaka and Peace Iwegwa, aside from robbing the parish priest of the St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
