Gay actor Uche Maduagwu mulls leaving Nigeria, says his life is under threat

Controversial Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has threatened to leave Nigeria on social media after claiming that his life is being threatened because of his sexual orientation.

The openly gay actor took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to lodge his complaint said on the social media platform that will be leaving Nigeria soon as he is recently harrassed for being gay.

The thespian who came out of the closet in January this year said thus on social media below;

”They told me being gay no dey naija culture abeg is phone in our culture is Buhari medical trip abroad in our culture,” he wrote.

Recall that the actor once took a swipe at Nigerian celebrities for voicing out their support in favour of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry but keep silent on homophobia in Nigeria.

The gay thespian who took to his Instagram page to spill his guts in a video was drawn to tears on social media as he spoke about homophobia in Nigeria and his personal gay experience.

Uche who noted that many people of his sexuality are treated wrongly in Nigeria also recalled how a secondary school teacher treated him after discovering he was gay.

He also used the social media platform to demand that members of the LGBT community wherever that are being respected.
