The Ebonyi State Police Command has confirmed the death of no fewer than three policemen who were killed during an attack by gunmen along Onuebonyi/Nwezenyi Road.
A report by SaharaReporters revealed that the police officers were killed by the heavily armed assailants while they were on a ‘stop and search operation on Wednesday night, APRIL 14.
The report informed that the gunmen were said to have ambushed the policemen and carted away their rifles.
The gunmen were said to have operated with a bus with which they escaped the scene with the report adding that the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at a hospital’s mortuary in Ebonyi State.
