Nollywood producer, Kunle Afolayan has confirmed that his production company KAP (Kunle Afolayan Productions) is currently working on three original feature films for popular US streaming platform Netflix.
Afolayan who confirmed the development in a recent interview with Ben Amadasun, Netflix’s director of content for Africa also informed that he is already working on the first of the three feature films which is an adaptation of Sefi Atta’s ‘Swallow’.
According to the multiple-award winning movie producer, work on the principal photography for the first film, set in the 80s in Lagos Nigeria, has already been concluded.
The movie ‘Swallow’ features star singer Niyola (Eniola Akinbo) as Tolani Ajao and other known thespians including; Chioma Akpotha, Deyemi Okanlawon, Ijeoma Grace Agu, Omotunde Adebowale, Eniola Badmus, Mercy Aigbe, Kelvin Ikeduba and Joke Muyiwa, among others.
