The Chief Executive Officer of Music Copyright Society of Nigeria, Mayo Ayilaran, has explained the new role of Dr Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, MFR aka King Sunny Ade after he was appointed as the Honorary President of the musical society.
Speaking after the appointment, Ayilaran said that Sunny Ade is expected to act as the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Society, an appointment which he said will open more doors of opportunities for the musical society by leveraging on his wide experience and contacts around the world for the benefit of the platform and its affiliates.
The appointment of KSA as the President of MCSN also coincided with the going life of the Society’s GoCreate App for the monitoring and reporting of the use of music on all platforms (digital, online, and offline) within Nigeria’s territory.
According to Ayilaran, the two important developments will gradually reveal the good intentions of MCSN to the Nigerian music and entertainment industry, particularly the creative sector.
