Popular Colombian musician Shakira has taken to social media to react to the death penalty slammed on young Iranian footballer Amir Nasir for participating in an anti-hijab row in his country.
The mother of two who spoke up for the footballer on her official Twitter page before the beginning of the FIFA world cup final match on Sunday, December 18, between Argentina and France.

The talented singer said that she hopes that the players on the field and the world remembers Amir who is on death row, only for speaking in favor of Women’s rights.’
‘‘Today at the final of the World Cup, I only hope the players on the field and the whole world remembers that there’s a man and fellow footballer called Amir Nasr, on death row, only for speaking in favor of Women’s rights.’’ Shakira wrote on Twitter.
