A teenager, identified simply as Sunkanmi met his waterloo in the Onimalu on Koloba Road, Ayobo, Ipaja, Lagos State, on Thursday when a mob tied him to an electric pole for allegedly stealing his mother’s cooking stand.
Residents say Sunkanmi, who had been stealing for a long time allegedly stole the local cooking stand known as “Adogan at 2.00 a.m. on Wednesday, and was later accosted and caught by residents who demanded an explanation from him but he could not give a satisfactory account of thee stolen item.
That led to a mob action as Sunkanmi was later tied to a pole and punished for his crime but reports revealed that his mother rushed to the scene and beat him so much that the mob quickly untied him to save him from his mother’s fury.
