A 35-year-old man, Kingsley Igwe, of Nise, in the Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, is now cooling his heels in police net after he allegedly killed his wife, Onyinye.
The arrest of the suspect was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, who said Igwe allegedly killed his wife after inflicting injuries on her with a kitchen knife around 4am on Thursday.
Haruna said that hours after the incident, police operatives attached to 3-3 Police Station arrested Kingsely Igwe, 35, who allegedly ran amok in circumstances yet to be ascertained and attacked his wife, Oyinye Obi, 31, with a kitchen knife and inflicted multiple injuries all over her body.
