The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 34-year-old man, Faruq Seidu and three accomplices, who he contracted to kidnap a seven-year-old son of his brother, Abdulmalik Musa after the victim’s father failed to him money to marry a third wife.
The kidnapped boy was killed after a ransom of N300,000 had been collected from the father of the victim because the boy recognized his uncle.
The boy, who was kidnapped last Wednesday from his parents’ residence at Sabo Ilupeju, Abeokuta, Ogun State, by the syndicate in connivance with Seidu, was lured out of the house with biscuit by his uncle, who paraded on Monday alongside his accomplices, Hassan Hussein, 30; Habib Nurah, 24; and Muhammed Bello, 42, at the crime scene, beside the Ogun River, Lafenwa, Abeokuta, by the state police command spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi.
