Controversial Yoruba actor Yomi Fabiyi has hit out at those who see nothing wrong in the actions of adults in the viral CCTV footage which shows troubled Yoruba actor Olarenwaju James popularly known as Baba Ijesha, sexually molesting a 14-year-old girl.

The Yoruba thespian who took to his official Instagram page on Tuesday to criticise the role played by the adults in the CCTV footage argued that any government official, lawyer, Human rights worker, diplomat, member of the bench, and others, that only see the sexual assault of Baba Ijesha but fail to see the “crime” committed by the adults who organized the re-enactment of the molestation and captured it on CCTV, are “tragedies to the honest justice system.”

Reacting further in the post on social media, Yomi Fabiyi said a petition is currently on the way to the office of the Governor of Lagos state and the Speaker of the state House of Assembly.

In the post he titled “HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION; A THREAT TO PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT”, Yomi Fabiyi said that he will be supplying the laws according to the books that will be used to indict, arrest and prosecute the adults which would include illegal adoption.

He wrote thus on Instagram; “Key into this basic idea and avoid social media court, emotions and sentiments. Fight for innocent children at this stage in Nigeria is a fight FOR THE SOUL OF YOUR COUNTRY guys.

“A petition is on its way to the Governor of Lagos State and The Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly. Hopefully they act as it is right to equally notify the United Nations and several Ambassadors in Nigeria. They must know what is going on with Human Rights, Full enforcement of Child Protection before the aggrieved take to the street.

“It should never be this way. STAND BY WHAT IS RIGHT. By the time the Police and DPP re-arrange their MO and revisit the case file based on additional information I shall be supplying, the laws should indict, arrest and prosecute ALL OTHER ADULTS in this case with minimum of seven count charges which should bother on:

“NEGLIGENCE, TORTURE, INDECENT USE OF A MINOR (as Props in sexual assault), ILLEGAL IMPRISONMENT, ENTRAPMENT, OBTAINING STATEMENT UNDER DURESS, TORTURING IN THE PRESENCE OF A MINOR, THREAT TO LIFE, ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF ARMS, WITHOLDING INFORMATION FROM THE POLICE, ILLEGAL ADOPTION amongst others.

“Crusaders, advocates and all honest citizens who form the majority in the country will sign petitions offline and online and will fight for the oppressed in the society. They will raise their voices to see that the continued gross abuse of Human Rights, illegal detention by Police is stopped. If we do not fight it now, nobody will,” his post concluded.
