The legal representative of troubled Nigerian singer, Bharry Jhay has disclosed that his client who was accused of having a hand in the murder of his former label boss, Kashy Godson is currently undergoing therapy after the unfortunate incident.

The principal partner of Whitestone Solicitors and Consultancy, Tope Salami who revealed this during an interview with the Punch said that Bharry was also locked out on social media for his own mental health.

He said, “Barry Jhay has basically survived through divine strength, sincerity of purpose, a working Ghanaian system and a team that comprises of friends, family, and fans. From the onset, he did not entertain any fear because he was sure of his innocence.

“However, we made sure we locked him out of social media for his own mental health. But, he is still in a state of shock and disbelief. It was a traumatising experience and with time, he would reappear on the scene. His therapy has commenced,” Salami added.

The development came after Barry Jhay, who was arrested by the police in Ghana in connection to the death of his label boss Karshy Godson, was cleared of the murder charges.

The charges were dropped by the police in Ghana after investigations revealed that Barry Jhay was attacked by Kashy shortly after the record label boss’ girlfriend rushed in to where he was recording a song to report that he (Kashy) was behaving abnormally.

The investigation further revealed that Kashy jumped down from the 4th floor of the hotel they lodged in, 12 minutes after Barry who he reportedly attacked with a knife fled the scene.

According to the police in Ghana an eyewitness and CCTV footage corroborated the claim.

The singer who is the son of late Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister also issued a statement concerning the death of his label boss and the persecution he faced after the unfortunate incident.

In the statement issued on Instagram, Bharry Jhay expressed dismay over the death of Kashy who he described as a friend adding that he almost lost his freedom for something he knew nothing about.
