NDLEA ARREST: Rapper CDQ denies being in possession of Cannabis, threatens legal action

Rapper Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, better known as CDQ, has denied being in possession of Cannabis after he was arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

In a statement issued on Friday via his Instagram page, CDQ said that he has never been in possession of any illegal substance in whatever form.

The indigenous rap lyricist also threatened legal action to ensure that matter, including “defamatory statements by several persons” is “followed to a logical end”.

The statement shared to Instagram reads thus in part: “I have never been in possession of any illegal substance in whatever form, neither have I ever had any cause to process, traffic, sell or use any illegal substance.”

He added that he has instructed his lawyers to ensure that matter, including “defamatory statements by several persons” is “followed to a logical end”.

Recall that on Wednesday, April 14, NDLEA officials raided the rapper’s h e in Lekki after they got intelligence that he was in possession of the banned substance known locally as ”loud”.
